My Trip To Cappadocia 2016

Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in central Turkey, is full of otherworldly natural sites, most notably the “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley and elsewhere. Popular for exploration are Bronze Age homes carved into valley walls by troglodytes (cave dwellers) and later used as refuges by early Christians. The 100m-deep Ihlara Canyon houses numerous rock-face churches.

As if plucked from a whimsical fairytale and set down upon the stark Anatolian plains, Cappadocia is a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. The fantastical topography is matched by the human history here. People have long utilised the region's soft stone, seeking shelter underground and leaving the countryside scattered with fascinating troglodyte-style architecture. The fresco-adorned rock-cut churches of Göreme Open-Air Museum and the subterranean refuges of Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı are the most famous sights, while simply bedding down in one of Cappadocia's cave hotels is an experience in 21st-century cavern dwelling.
Whether you're wooed here by the hiking potential, the history or the bragging rights of unique accommodation, it's the lunarscape panoramas that you'll remember. This region's accordion-ridged valleys, shaded in a palette of dusky orange and cream, are an epiphany of a landscape – the stuff of psychedelic daydreams.

Lying in south central Turkey, the moonscaped region of Cappadocia, southeast of Ankara, is most famous for unique geological features called fairy chimneys. The large, cone-like formations were created over time by erosion of the relatively soft volcanic ash around them. Past cultures have dug into them to create dwellings, castles (like Uchisar) and even entire underground cities like Kaymakli and Derinkuyu, used as hiding places by early Christians. Nearby Kayseri is the gateway to the area.

Soar through the skies of Cappadocia on this magical hot-air balloon tour in Turkey. Choose from a 1-hour or 1.5-hour flight, and ascend into the atmosphere where you will admire the region’s lunar landscape from above. Before your flight, enjoy a buffet breakfast and coffee or tea and cheers with a glass of champagne upon landing. No trip to Turkey is complete without treasuring this unforgettable experience.
THINGS MUST TO KNOW ABOUT BALLOON TOURS
Balloon flights are in Cappadocia, you should stay minimum 1 night in Cappadocia to be able to join this tour, you cannot make it like one day excurison from Istanbul or any other cities. Beacause our balloon flights are with SUN-RISE time, and you cannot reach Cappadocia with any transportation on time for balloon tour in same day.
Balloon flights are for 60 minutes on air and normally you return your hotel by 8am latest, so you can schedule your day after 8am.

In  our list the Argos Cave hotel is also located in historic Uçhısar and is located near the top of the mountain with a beautiful view of the surrounding village. The historic cave dwellings are again the main attraction and at the Argos Cave Hotel one can even have a swimming pool in their own room. The comfort of a private swim may set you back a bit over a thousand a night but you’ll swim in the comfort and privacy of your own room.

The hotel is just a short jaunt from the Uçhısar fortress an impressive monolith standing above the city a reminder of the thousands of years of history held as a treasure in the surrounding caves and valleys. The service at the Argos as well as the accommodations are superb and the staff are careful to take care of your every need. Take some time to tour the wine cellars and enjoy the best there is in Turkish tea.

Entertainment

The Turkish Night Show highlights the dance traditions of various regions of Turkey, complete with traditional costumes and of course, exhilarating belly dancers. This lively performance is a great way to enjoy traditional Turkish music, dancing and join in the festivities during audience participation.

Experience Turkish culture and traditions as you’re entertained by the performers in a Turkish Night Show. Enjoy an evening of drinks, appetizers, and dinner as you take in the show at one of Cappadocia’s cave restaurants.

The rate of the Turkish Night is 45 Euro per person including drinks and fruits or 50 Euro per person including drinks, fruits and dinner.

The show begins with a short version of a whirling dervishes performance, which will give you an insight into this religious ceremony. Enjoy the live music performed by musicians in traditional costume. After the dervishes, folk dancers in traditional dress enter, and the dancing begins.
Dancers perform traditional Turkish wedding dances in which the bride, dressed in a beautiful red dress, dances in the middle of the stage, as the groom performs a variety of dances for her.

This is followed by a few folk dances from different parts of Turkey, and then the belly dancer takes the stage. She performs her breathtaking dance and then goes around the room asking men to join her on the stage. The lucky men learn some basic belly dancing moves.
After additional dancing and shows, including the fire dance, the Caucasian dance with knives, and the drum show, the night’s performance comes to an end.
During the show waiters serve unlimited soft and alcoholic drinks with appetizers. The main dinner course of lamb with rice follows. This is the traditional wedding meal in Turkey.
